I haven't been able to find a seller that accepts money orders for probably=
1-2 years!
there's the odd one=2C but it's incredibly difficult to find.
I wouldn't use paypal if my life depended on it (ok=2C maybe then)=2C after=
all
www.paypalsucks.com
Again, I;'ve never had any problems with PayPal. And nor have many other
people I know. Perhaps we're just very lucky. The one time I couldn't use
PayPal (the seller wouldn't accept it), I had to do an international bank
trnasfer, the fee for which was as much as the amount of money I wanted
to send. I think I'd rather stick to PayPal...

most things on fleabay are over priced=2C and not just
a little bit.
so i find alternative sources=2C whenever possible.
Unless you're talking about the BIN (and yes, some are, shall we say,
optimistic), surely then things sell for less than what somebody is
prepared to pay (To be exact, the selling price is one bidding increment
above the maximum bidd of the second-highest bidder). How does that make
it overpriced.
O nthe other hand, I've seen plenty of thigns with what I consider to be
a very reasonable BIN. The lastest was 4 add-on boards for HP9000/200
machines with a BIN of $16. Not per board, but for all 4. Now, I knew the
boards concerned, I knew that all the chips on them are easy to find, so
that provided the PCBS themselves were undamaged, they were easiky worth
that price.
And one quite a few occasions I've got things for _well_ below my maximum
bid.

I've been with ebay since almost the day it
started=2C I avoid it like the =
plague=2C unless there's a special item I need.
positive feedback and ratings don't help much. you just gotta hope it works=
out.
I will admit I don;t use E-bay for, say, standard electronic components,
etc. If I can get them from a known-reliable company, I go there. But for
a lot of things, there is nowhere else sensible to find them (where you
you look for the interface module for a 1970's HP computer?). And so far,
touch wood, I've not had serious problems.
I've also found most sellers have lousy communications. did you get the mon=
ey order? any problems?
did you ship it yet? whats the tracking #? most of these never get answered=
.
I'll agree with that!. I wish sellers would simply e-mail me when they've
posted the item. Some do, but alas they're in the minority.

and theres always the endless problems with
"fakes"=2C yeah=2C it's what yo=
u said it was=2C but it's not really that item=2C
its a poorly disguised fake. oh=2C but it is what it says it was=2C so ebay=
complaints are useless.
This might be a proglem with some tyoes of product, but so far it's not
been a prolem with things that I've been interested in. I guess it's not
worth faking odd bits for classic computers ;-)

PS - dont ever bid before about 30 seconds of the
auction end=2C you're jus=
t driving up the price unncessarily
I don;t understnad this. How come if I put in my high bid several days
before the end of the auction does it make others bid higher?
