Agreed! I managed the "Quant" group at Fidelity for years on an 11/70
running RSTS/E. We wrote almost all of our market models (such as
Dividend Discount, Bond Arbitrage, etc.) in BASIC-PLUS/BASIC-PLUS 2.
At that time we were running about $7B under management (when a billion
was a lot of money ;)
