Hello all,
The only person someone I know that seems to have worked with Xyples gear
has forgotten the solution to this, so...does anyone here know?
There are physically 16 ports, the self tests seems to test all of the
ports. In the OS only 8 are enabled!
Xyplex>> show ports all

No you don't. The Xyplex can't connect to a time server so it started
at the Unix epoch.

PROMs a while back. I don't think at the time I could make any sense
of it but I didn't try very hard. I believe it has another PROM and I
don't have a PLCC adapter so I gave up on it temporarily. (~2 years
ago)
Meanwhile, seeing that I'm not in a rush, I've been trying to brute
force it. Almost at 0xFFFFFF, at which point I'll have to quit. The
only password I've found is ADD, which gave me 30 days access to the
3270 client, obviously for demonstration purposes. :(

I managed to get a (maybe) useful disassembly listing...I'm not sure. I'm
not a 6800 assembler programmer. ;)

I can't remember what type of compression it uses. Not sure I ever
knew. But you're right, it's probably not proprietary. Unless they
were really paranoid and wanted some security through obscurity, why
reinvent the wheel?

I can't remember what type of compression it uses. Not sure I ever
knew. But you're right, it's probably not proprietary. Unless they
were really paranoid and wanted some security through obscurity, why
