Hi All -
I have some old DECsystem-20 9 track tapes that I'd very much like to get
dumped.
As I mentioned previously, I'm writing a book about Infocom. One of the
Infocommies kept some tapes from the early days of the company, circa 1981,
and I'd love to get a dump of what's on them. I realized there are
services that do this, but I hoping to avoid the cost (which, I suspect,
would be out of my reach).
Does anyone have a system that could read these tapes and dump the data (or
know someone that does)? I'd appreciate any help that you could give me on
this.

The biggest issue is physical integrity of the tapes themselves.
Taking some pictures would be a good start.
(Not just the plastic tape rings, but the actual tape itself.)

Where are you located. And what densities are the tape?

Hopefully one of the people on this list that can do this will chime
in. There are people here that can do this, and that I'd trust with
such tapes.
I'm curious, is this data that can be made publicly available?
