There was no DSP, for example. I did some neat stuff with that DSP chip.

33Mhz cisc cpu with 4k cache
you could probably do it better in software.
Perhaps a tad faster, but a DSP56001 was no slouch, by the standards of the
day...and it wasn't busy running an operating system. :)
