You probably don't want to hear this, but it *might* be cheaper to
find a system with RAM in it. I'm reminded of the AlphaStation
500/333 I foolishly bought from Compaq. It has 96Mb of RAM, so not
really usable for VMS. I was able to get a DEC PWS 433au (a better
system by far) for far less money than the RAM upgrade.
Except for certain Alpha's (using PC parity SIMMs or DIMMs) getting
RAM, as a hobbyist, for DEC gear has always been painful.
