  But you are right, it could be that too. Reset to
defaults and reconfig
 can't hurt. Just I've seen far more (FAR MORE!) with a weak battery.

yes, I know that certain NCR models were microchannel. I have a 3300 series
that's a 486dx and microchannel. very similar to a PS/2 9577.
