Yes and Yes.
You could purchase an upgrade kit which includes the CP/M boards and a new
backplate for the unit to accomodate the additional I/O connectors. From what I've
read, the kit also included a replacement "VT-180" badge, although my 180 still
has the VT-100 badge and a little red sticker that says "special option
installed".
