Hi Paul, No ... after many hours of helping and prodding many list members, for the OS. No one came through after 1 year. I even sent off my key to one guy so he could get his going. He did.. I then asked again for a tape with out any luck. I finally asked for the key back, which I did get back. This is where my 3000 are today. For the most part I seem to help a lot of list members with media and the like but never seem to get much help myself . I have had better luck with usenet, but that is really dying. Hey Guys, I have a really nice 3000/37 along with the original MPE/V install tapes. It's been quite a few years since I played with the /37 so, I'm not even sure if it would power up. I just found the original 9-track tape that says "MPE/V RELEASE 3P FOS Tape For the HP3000 P/N 32033-10452 Rev G.3P.00 DATE CODE 3419". It is in SYSDUMP format which (I think) means that it is bootable. IIRC "FOS" stands for File Operating system. I also have a tape labeled "SUBSYS TAPE". IIRC, that tape has the "subsystems" like fortran, cobol, basic, etc... Will this OS run on the GX? Are those tapes all that is needed to set up the machine? Who exaclty is looking for the tapes? Do you have a bootable 9 track drive? Are you willing to pay shipping and return the tapes when done? If so, send me a message and we might be able to work something out.
