I don't think you can blame the whole community for this one person's
behavior, or is there something else you're not telling us?
I see overpriced "vintage" manuals on ebay all the time.
Hell, I see people trying to sell CDs of stuff that is just collected
from bitsavers.
This sort of thing has been going on for a long time, what is it about
this particular one that has you so pissed, Al?
