In the eval kits, the Spartan 6 kits seem to
offer a significantly
higher bang-for-the-buck than the Spartan 3 ones.
Certainly the Spartan-6 chips are far more cost effective than Spartan-3.
For eval boards, I'm not convinced that this is the case yet. [...]
