The CDC 6000 and 7000 series machine had the CRT as an
integral part of the
machine--the operator's console was a (vector, character and graphical) CRT
or pair of them in the case of the DD60. That even held with the CDC STAR,
which had a CRT display on the MCU station.
Even that much later Cybers (800 series, maybe the big 900s) could
have CC545s ("Cyber Console").
CDC apparently made a "real" graphics terminal for engineering use,
because the DD60s and CC545s really were not high performance units
good for CAD work.
