Sir, are awesome.
Why?
(a) Because you haven't bought into the societal assumption (at least
on this side of the pond, but what I've seen leads me to think it
exists there too) that sports are fun by default;
(b) Because you realize this and had no hesitation using it to turn
that kid's bait;
(c) Because you consider that "the only sane reply";
(d) Because you do maths for fun.
(I daresay you don't consider any of those awesome. In my (admittedly
rather limited) experience, those I think awesome don't see the reasons
I think them awesome as justification for the opinion.)
