Close, actually. Baking parchment is a fine, non-shedding surface. Get a roll at your
local grocer.
I was going to comment on the relative merits of a Silpat vs. paper
towels, etc. (which probably wouldn't fare too badly in a 140?F oven),
but realized I had no direct experience. I had totally forgotten
about parchment paper, which is all the more amusing since we just
ran out of it yesterday for more conventional baking purposes.
