And that makes it more "real"? I'm not following.
To complete the effect, I suppose you could make the noise permanent and
then ship a batch of earplugs with it. Those spongy yellow earplugs
saved my sanity. It's wasn't a high-dB level of noise that really got
to you; it was the hours of a constant "fog" of about 85 dB that reduced
your nerves to a pile of broken glass--it came on gradually over the day.
