A cat skin will work just as well as a cat--and doesn't eat as much.
Or a one teacher at schookl put it 'Ye old ebonite rods and the pieces of
cat' :-)
However, I don't have a problem generating static, I have a problem
keeping it down. I don't need a piece of cat skin to add to the problem.
I do need the cats because they are useful in many other ways (vermin
control, bed warming, an alarm clock (although I wish I could work out
how to set it....) etc.
