Well, there are things called "control
transformers" that are almost
universally 24VAC output with a wide variety of primary configurations.
Odd... TO me, a 'Cotnrol trnasformer' is somethign totally different.
It's a rotating device with a 3 phase stator and a single phhase rotor,
the phhase of the votlage induced in the rotor (relative to the stator
drive waveforms) depends on the angular position of the shaft. They were
typically used as position feedback devies in servomechanisms.
I would say this is anothjer English .vs. American difference, except I
am pretty sure the book I read about such things in was an American book...
