The best thing
I've found for this are those divided plastc parts >
storage boxes (I find Raaco are the best). Don't get the new, improved
ones with adjustable partitions, they tend to self-adjust at just
the> wrong time (yet another case of an improvemetn for the worse).
Don't know what those are; Harbor Freight sells some convenient sizes-
A plastic box, perhaps 12"*8"*2" deep with a hinged plastic lid. The
bottom part of the box is divided up into a number of smaller
compartments (perahps 12 or 1*) by plastic dividers, the full depth of
the box that are moulded integrally with it. The lid has some way of
locking it closed.
The easy-to-obtain ones over here have removable plastic dividers. These
are a pain, for one thing small parts (washers, etc) can get under the
dividers. For another, they dividers are sure to come out at thw worng
moment, allowing bits to mix up.
Older ons had a brittle transparent plastic lid. Nwer ones (of all types)
have a more flexible translucent plastic lid which I feel is an
improvement.
I think seraing for 'Raaco' should find what I mean.
-again HDPE oddly enough. Older ones used to be
styrene which was
given to getting brittle and breaking.
SOunds like much the same thing.
