Ebay, that is saying something) - at least the auctioneer is
impartial. Just a few weeks ago I was at a radio estate auction where
the auctioneer missed a number of my bids, and banged the gavel a bit
too quickly for his buddies benefit.
Local government real-estate auctions sometimes work like this.
Although the time and place of the auction is publicized, you often
have to have sharp eyes to spot a small group of what appears to be
lawyers having a friendly and quiet chat on the courthouse steps...
