In Florida, it has become common for one to be sitting in one's
living room and suddenly notice it's getting warm in the house. You go
outside and find that some street urchin has made off with the copper
coils in the condenser unit of your air conditioner. They often huff
the freon while they're at it, according to the cops. Fortunately for
the rest of us, sometimes this kills them...but not often enough.
And this isn't only happening in "those" neighborhoods, either.
Dirtbags. They're almost as bad as suits.
