ASR means "automatic send/receive" and usually refers to machines with
some sort of local storage that can receive, store and resend a
message. ASR is probably a misnomer for this terminal unless there is
a way to attach local storage -- Teletype machines used paper tape,
Texas Instruments used audio cassettes, HP used DC100A mini cartridges
and Tektronix used floppy disks.

I've just picked up one these Miniterm portable
terminals but it would
appear that a couple of the EPROMs have gone bad. Anybody got one they
could grab ROM images from?
There are different models; can you post a picture of
the model plate?
