Actually, I think killing the clones was a *good* idea.
They would have
simply marginalised Apple the way all the Palm clones are now gobbling
Apple lost the talents, imagination, and production capability of Umax,
Power Computing, Motorola, Daystar, and somebody else I forget, maybe
Radius, and thats just the hardware side. Losses of software people was
long term just as bad.
Apple just isn't interesting to me anymore.
