A few people are still looking for glass tty's, they are not very common any more.
I would definitely canvass retrocomputing groups before recycling them. Also, you can
probably get real money selling them.

And third-ed. They're worth more than I want to pay for them on eBay
nowadays. Especially if they have keyboards. All the ones I see on eBay
come without keyboards, but still cost $100 and up.
I wish I had one or two more myself, but at these prices I'm reluctant.
