I know about the Sparc T4 announcement, so the following from the
article has me scratching my head:
"Oracle paid $7.4 billion (including debt) for Sun and discontinued
the Sparc line..."
My assumption was that the author knows something about Oracle that I
don't (which isn't terribly difficult). It's possible that he means
that the likes of Fujitsu are really doing the development on the
Sparc and that Oracle has little interest in the CPU itself other
than building a box around it.
Anyone else have a clue?
