That's true, but well whale oil isn't nearly as good as deep sea whale
oil. In all but the largest wells, the whales' growth is too limited,
and that results in the oil being too thin. In the larger whales, the
oil produced is significantly more viscous.
Of course, nowadays well whales are very nearly extinct, so well whale
oil is pretty hard to get. Most people whose wells have whales keep that
fact secret to avoid attention from poachers.
This is one of the most bizarrely obscure tidbits of information I've
ever seen come across this list. How do you come to know about this? I
am just curious.
