I've seen auctions pulled when the seller was selling something for
someone else and they yanked the item out from under the original
seller.
For instance, there was an ADM-31 terminal for sale that I had bid on.
The auction was cancelled and the item was removed because the seller
told me that the estate sale had changed their mind and didn't make
the item available to him. Later, he acquired the estate and put the
item up again, but I missed out on it that time (my fault, not his).
