if this is important to you. These aren't
important issues to folks who are
using a PC-clone to surf the web over a DSL line, but if you want to hook
older machines to your LAN to get to the outside world through DSL you do
need to pay attention here.
...or, look into IP Masquerading. I'm running that through my Linux box,
which also hosts my web server and it all runs quite well. My other Linux
boxes, the occasional Windoze box, and just about anything else I drop in
the net seem quite content, and it all appears as a single static IP
address to the rest of the world...
