I was at the local high school and looking at some of their in-house
3D-printed stuff the other evening; I was rather impressed with the
quality. It wasn't the smooth surface that I remember DEC switches being,

intentional 'mottled' surface, rather than printed with the subsequent
"blobby" results that I've seen from a lot of online videos. I'll have

You can get the smooth surface finish by doing a little hand sanding.
You could also paint the surface to get a good color match to your
existing switches as well.
