It's not a pond.. it's an ocean. Why

I'm not sure that the definition of a
pond includes some form of boundary -
so if you zoom out far enough, it is a
pond, albeit a very big one.
pond (p1/4nd) n. A still body of water
smaller than a lake, often of artificial
origin. [Middle English ponde, from Old
English pund-, enclosure.]
And "whilst" I'm at it, why do some
insist on using "blinkenlights" in re
CPU front panels instead of correct
English -- blinking lights?
Because it's mildly amusing.
Maybe the first time it was... :)
