I can tell you for a fact that they do NOT support DMA so a non-starter for
many things.....
What kind of DMA though: ISA bus mastering or the Intel 8237 data mover?
Or neither? Either way, quite disappointing -- it all should be pretty
easy to reproduce with modern circuitry.
The software side is another matter however -- x86 real-mode OS drivers
should be easy to run virtualised, but other environments are a tad more
difficult to emulate.
