It annoys me that the devs of the original unit would purposely damage
someone's programmer, I could see making the software not work, but not to
purposely brick the hardware.
The
beeprog original developers claim that if you try to use the
current rev of beeprog softwre it can detect the clones and brick
them.
That's why it is so cheap.
