Coca Cola might work due the phosporic acid - but it
also contains an
enormous amount of sugar. So you might have removed the alkali from the
board, but now it is coated in a sticky sugary mixture ...
Sugar, properly treated, can form a hard insulating coating. I'm sure
I once saw MyGuyver fix arcing high tension lines with nothing more
than a creme brule and a soda straw.
