Well, Leif Eric[k?]son wasn't involved in telephony as far as I know. Or,
if he was, he went straight to wireless, and didn't leave any copper wire
behind. He went back and forth between Europe and America, and started a
colony in Newfoundland? 500 years before Columbus.
I think that his cargo of timber provides some evidence that he wasn't
imagining having found some land on his first voyage.
