Sounds like a marginal component fails once it warms up and now it's
failing sooner.
In a computer system, it seems the most commonly failing part is a
capacitor. Since there is noise coming from the speaker, I'd put an
oscilloscope on the speaker terminals and see if you can spot an
increasing noise level on the terminals.
