One of my other hobbies is collecting slide rules. Most people aren't aware that these
even *existed*. Whenever it comes up, I have to go through a whole explanation of what a
slide rule is, what it was used for, etc.
In university, I'm studying classics. Nobody seems to know that one either, so most of
the time I just take a shortcut and tell them Ancient Greece and Rome. Add to that my ham
radio hobby, and I think I'm doomed to endless explanation...
