Philips made (maybe still make?) a hybrid digital/analogue scope.
I have one, the PM3335. 50MHz bandwidth, or 20MSa/s in digital
mode. They also made an optional RS-232 interface for it.
Mine's a bit beaten up, having been used on boats to debug a

Hey, that sounds like a neat scope! I will keep an eye open for one.
I've been really impressed with the Philips test equipment that I've
seen. My lab counter/timer is a Philips; it's wonderful.
