I think I have mentioned this before, but at work I have been told that I
cannot have a disused tape _drive_ decause it has been used to back up
payroll data. I realise that this is just the over exagerrated paranoia of
ignorant accountants but it still shows that there is a latent problem out
there which, if there were a scandal in the press resulting from the
disclosure of confidential data, could result in our supply of usable
machines drying up.
