The extent of my exposure to the UK domestic side these days are
via the
BBC series here
on cable. One of them is Law and Order UK, an excellent adaptation of
the US series.
Anyway on one recent episode I did notice what appeared to be a shiny
new stainless finish
Hoover Oven or Microwave, and did wonder what else they had badged with
the Hoover brand
since here in the US it is pretty much vacuum cleaners. I couldn't see
any other appliances
in the scene, but they did have a very good closeup of the one
appliance. Over here you see
many different brands of things around houses from German, Korean, US
and many others.
