On an unrelated note I think I have enough bits to set
up a pair of VS (as
in VAXServer) 3400s as a VMS cluster! Since these things will cluster over
DSSI it should be pretty neat. If I get it running I'll see if I can put it
on the net for login access. That should be an interesting exercise!

I've threatened to do a SCSI cluster, but never found the time. If you're
going to do that, you'll need to set up TCPIP so that the two systems
appear as one, so if one goes down you can still get to the cluster!
That's something else I've not found enough time to try. As for putting
them up on the net, all you need is the connection to the net.
Hmmm, now that I think about it, I've now got enough systems around here to
have both production and development clusters. Now that's a SCARY thought,
considering the systems are just for my own fun! It's gotten so bad though
that I've had to start mapping my cluster!
