My experiences
with the [Metcal] MFR 2241 are very positive. [...].
I've used ERSA and Weller in the past. I'll never go back.
Especially the Wellers I used are much inferior to the OKi, yet they
are more expensive then the OKi MFR!
Have you used any Hakko irons enough to compare? I've got a Hakko I'm
happy with, but I haven't used anything else above the el-cheapo
"weekend hobbyist" quality enough to compare them with the Hakko. I do
recall someone here saying something like "Weller irons are decent,
Hakko irons are good, Metcal irons are great", but multiple opinions
are always good.
