I'll hazard a guess it is a very-dumb
terminal: the connectors could be
video-in for the monitor and keyboard-out, the smarts all being elsewhere.
This is about all that makes sense to me, too, given those ports. I'm
still quite surprised though that no one has seen one and that Google
comes up empty, too. And this isn't a one-off product from some
garage - Wang was a major manufacturer for a time.
