This is about all that makes sense to me, too, given those ports. I'm
still quite surprised though that no one has seen one and that Google
comes up empty, too. And this isn't a one-off product from some
garage - Wang was a major manufacturer for a time.
Looks like you have the standalone terminal that goes with the 2200
