I have a
number of older Seagate Hawk narrow SCSI 1G-2G drives. I have
a couple of LC 475s, the SE/30, and a IIci. I've never gotten one of
the Seagates to work as the internal drive on any of the older Macs
without using a cable terminator.
Whoa, because my A/UX IIci has a Seagate Hawk 1GB in it as its main drive
and there's never been a problem. What specific model number are you using?
Myself, I've never had a problem getting nearly any SCSI
drive to work in various Mac's I've kept or built for other people.
Then again that's been mostly '040 powered machines and newer since
I've not changed the drives in the earlier ones much.
