Estimated Price Of A "Classic" PDP-8?

I'm baaaaack!... Apologies if this has been posted here already... I found this little horror story on alt.sys.pdp8, and it made me cringe. If anyone has a good estimate for this guy, it's probably best to reply to that newsgroup.
