Any chance of a VCF East in 2004? A location in CT
would be great, it
would be a good midpoint for all the collectors in MA/NH/RI and the ones in

Buckland Mall (exit 62?) off of RT-84 CT, plus with the mall, and lots of
local fast food and restaurants, there would be plenty for show goers to do
before/after the show. There is a massive videogame (2nd largest show in

www.phillyclassic.com so if you could schedule around it, that would
be great.
Hi Curt.
Yes, there will be a VCF East in 2004. The tenative date is sometime in
April. I don't have anything beyond that because I haven't been able to
find a suitable venue yet. My search has centered on somewhere in Boston.
I'm hoping to find a user's group at MIT that can sponsor the VCF and we
can then hold it right on campus, which would be ideal.
However, this is not set in stone. Some of the suggestions you've given
and others I have heard are good ones, but as someone else pointed out, it
has to be in a centrally located area with a large population center.
Boston fits this bill nicely because it has the added nuance of being a
technology center as well.
I'm hoping to have dates announced by December, but it depends on how much
help I get finding a location in Boston (or elsewhere). I need a place
that has at least one conference room suitable for seating 50 people and a
large adjoining hall of at least 1500-2000 sqft. The price for rental
should be cheap: less than $1,500 for the weekend plus a Friday setup.
Everything else (tables, chairs, etc.) is not an issue.
So, if you have a place in mind where you'd like VCF East 2004 to be,
please do some scouting for me and send me a pitch.
