For the most part, the disappearance of HP would
amount to "... and
nothing of value was lost." Sure, VMS would be gone, and we'd lose the
itanic jokes, but really what else is there?
And just what dp you suggest I should use to add up the prices on my
components orders, calculate the seting for my lathe, calcualte component
values for my desgins, and so on? AFAIK nobody other than HP makes
reverse-polish caclualtors.
