I'll admit that I don't know what happens with
the "Windows" key on a
5170, but I suspect it's ignored with or without a beep.
I suspect it's OS-dependant. I think the keyboard interface chip (the
8042 i nthe original 5170) will just pass the keycode on. Most OSes I
suspect will ignore it though.
