Funny, just last week at the radio museum, a fellow member brought in a Model T Ford spark
coil, in rather rough condition, and we did just that: connected it up and managed to get
a (small) Jacob's Ladder out of it. (Though the one made from a large neon-sign
transformer is a little more impressive.)
