That's a perfectly valid reason to hang onto it. Fix it up and use it!
Gut a few keyboards to get switches to put on the underside of the key
levers, add a lot of solenoids, and build a terminal out of it!

1951??!? That's not old. Collectibel is MUCH older. Hang onto it for
another 50 years, and THEN it will be collectible.
I used one from that vintage in high school. The smell was awesome, but
some of that was because my father never used the right oil when he used
it.
