I actually **have** a Dumont o-scope from that period (possibly, or maybe
most likely, earlier).
Excellent! Is it in working condition? Black front panel, no
graticule covering the face of the CRT, square potted power
transformer? I had one too, but nearly 20 years ago, I did something
regrettable with it: disassembled it for parts (probably still have
most of them around here somewhere). Fortunately, I never did
anything like that to my Tektronix 531 or Heathkit OM-3. As far as I
know, the empty chasis is still in the back yard covered in vines and
inhabited by spiders, if anything's left of it besides rust.
Sorry, I was mistaken. It's actually a Supreme Mmodel 546. It's got a
wooden enclosure and is quite spiffy in it's oldness.
Check out these photos I took of it a while back:

Sorry that they're not the best resolution. Anyway, it's a neat little
scope. I've dated it to the late 1930's or very early 1940's. I would
appreciate if anyone had more information about it.
I did a web search recently and came up with way more hits than I did when
I checked a couple years ago. Someone has one for sale for $89 here:
