I don't have any problems with guidelines or even *gasp* rules for the
list.
However, I do have a problem with the rules not being written down
anywhere and someone getting upset that I've "broken" the unwritten law.
If you want to have guidelines then they have to be posted. Saying
"look in the archives" isn't really sufficient as I've seen that the
subject rarely accurately reflects the content of a message and using
vague search terms on an archive as large as cctalk is going to yield
many useless hits.
So yes, please update the FAQ/whatever to be more accurate :-).
